Nicknames: The Runner, the Forever Bachelor, the Thumb
Character Pitch: As a former Inquisition member Amos has risen up to become one of the most recognisable faces of the elusive group and one of the more popular members of the Council. Seen as a man of high morals and justice Amos has a reputation of integrity and loyalty to the people that is quite unknown to most of the public. However, as a wearied man that has battled his way up the ranks it would be a surprise to anyone if he has no hidden agenda.
Amos was born and raised in The Land within the Pariah Bay. There he saw much horror and experienced the injustice the poor have to deal with on a daily base. Vowing to himself that he would make the difference Amos gathered up a group of friends to police his neighbourhood. It gained him much attention and soon enough the Inquisition extended him and his friends an invitation to bring justice as a Cloak. This was the start of a flourishing, but lonely career.
It was as if Amos was made to be a Cloak. As if the Inquisition existed for people like him to work. While most of his friends fell, falling down to either death or corruption, Amos went on only seeing ahead. By forty he was already favoured so much and ranked high enough that he earned himself a place in The Sky. A honour for all that had made him become the man he was. Years after he got himself voted into the Council, where he soon managed to gain himself a reputation as someone that understands the needs of The Land and as a counsellor to the Inquisition. He never gave himself the time for love and family, too focused he was on work. This was much to his own regret as he does adore children and the thought of having someone to continue his legacy. It wasn’t meant to be, however and that is where he will leave it at with his old age.
Appearance: His appearance speaks for his character. A stern upright man with a caring heart. With pale grey eyes and a scarred face one recognises the hard labour of the Inquisition in his features as well, each line telling another story. It is proof of his hardworking character, how he grew up from the slums of The Land to join the elite in The Sky. Amos is surprisingly short and stocky in build, which one doesn’t expect seeing the authority and pride that seeps out of his person. It is a point of hilarity amongst his friends and fellow Council members, as he is like the thumb of the hand; always too short, but never useless.
