Female, 27, december 17, intelligence specialist & sharpshooter
Inspiration: Peter Pan's Captain Hook & Tinkerbell, Beauty and the Beast's Belle.
Personality: Ever since young Belle has been stern. It was a trait she was praised for as a child, for the adults mistook it for diligence and responsibility. As she grew older she was scorned for the same traits, as they believed her to be stuck-up and conceited. Belle is rather serious in character finding it hard to bring her guards down or to rely on another.
Used as she is to be treated with sarcasm and to be looked down upon Belle has taught herself from a young age that to be laughed at is a bad thing. For that she does her utmost not to give anyone a reason to laugh at her, striving herself to be the best amongst all, to be the most capable; just plain perfect. However, it is this same strive that has created a rift between Belle and the world. By never allowing herself to show weakness Belle has created an impossible image for herself that others find either hard to tolerate or impossible to penetrate. It is an extra burden that she has laid upon herself that she hasn't allowed herself to let down as of yet.
It doesn't mean that Belle is incapable of making jokes, however. Just not at the expense of herself or another. Underneath the strict maintenance of her image Belle is known to be caring, motherly even of those she considers her closest relation. Always inquiring after health, constantly fretting about their condition, it are in the small gestures that Belle shows her appreciation to those she applies herself to. However, it is exactly that warmth in her caring that makes the distance she puts between herself and the rest of the world so much colder.
Background: There is little respect to be demanded when your father is Captain Hook, the celebrated general that fell down into disgrace due to his own obsession for an imaginary flying boy. Dishonourably discharged and later declared a fugitive Belle's once bright future was dimmed when her father abandoned everything he had worked towards. That was the least of her worries, however, as the consequences of her father's actions and eventual disappearance left her family cursed and plagued by many.
Determined to atone for her father's sins Belle spent little time questioning the why's and quickly determined herself to repair the Hook family name. Through all the prejudice and condemnation that followed Belle worked hard as she once more chose a military career, vowing her loyalty to the crown. Though apprehension remained towards her true motives for joining the army like her father did Belle remains steadfast and diligent in proving everyone wrong about her origins.
