General Appearance
A brunette of average height and slight curves. From appearance alone it is clear that Miyako didn't experience the obvious hardships that comes with war such as starvation, disease or obvious scars. It comes from a combination of background and ability that she has been so fortunate so far. With a sparkle in her light brown eyes, fair skin and a general skip in her step Miyako looks like a child who has never known war, though it lays far from the truth.
Like all children in the village Miyako is taught to fight and as such has a lean and athletic body. Though not exceptionally talented in taijutsu it should be obvious that Miyako has trained for combat in some way from the way she carries herself to the obvious features in her appearance.

Miyako ironically doesn't do well with sealing techniques, despite that what her village is known for. However, she is good at concealing, as her jutsu arsenal along with her special ability show. Focusing herself on hiding rather than intense battles where large reserves of chakra and stamina are needed the ninja isn't suited for the front lines, but for the finer details of strategy, infiltration and concealment.
Talents
Kekkei genkai: Shadow merging. >> An unique ability within the Koizumi clan, where the members can merge themselves into shadows and travel through shadows, or hide objects or even people in shadows for a period of time. There are a few conditions to be met, however. First and foremost: there must be a shadow. Merging into ones own shadow is thus ineffective as the object casting the shadow would disappear. When travelling the shades must be connected. When the shadow disappears, or becomes too small or weak to hold the person/object the jutsu is broken.
Fears
Losing herself. Within wartime Miyako knows that she has to hold out for herself. While death and injury is a daily subject Miyako has grown to fear the control she has over herself. If she were to lose that, if she were to become someone she can't even recognise herself... Miyako fears that they most.
General Personality
Miyako is easy-going, easy to get along with, easy to approach, and easy to befriend. Always in for a good laugh and in for a joke she is known as a general joker despite the harsh times that they live in. The brunette hates to take life seriously and will do her best to take on a light disposition, where the world may sparkle like it did in her memories. She laughs a lot and despite being considered an adult in a harsh world has no plans in growing up.
Inner Personality
There is a big but within Miyako, however. Despite the smiling exterior and carefree attitude Miyako is a deeply scarred and scared individual. Unsurprising seeing the times they live in. Deep within there is a wretched and bitter personality with an extreme distaste for humanity and its whimsical ways. An inner personality that clashes with her general image and sunny smile, a nightmare smothered in the bright light she tries to be.
History
In a time of constant war and power clashes Miyako has known no better but that life is a constant battle. Used to living in the fear of attacks and ambushes the female was taught to fight at a young age, but always well protected and never truly in danger. Born into the Koizumi family granted her that security, with plenty of people surrounding her for protection. As such everything surrounding Miyako was controlled, even the amount of damage she faced.
However, despite all the security and protection Miyako knows of loss. Her father, a stern man whose main priority was the continuation and the survival of the clan went great lengths to produce the heir he needed. Miyako wasn't good enough, but the best he could get from his first wife. When he did manage to father a son with a mistress he didn't possess the ability needed. It turned him bitter and it made him anxious, with the extreme stress and trauma from war added to it there was a nice cocktail and a story of abuse.
Miyako was the heir and her crying mother made sure to remind the girl of it. Day by day her inevitable fate was hammered into her. If not by her desperate mother who wanted the attention of her husband, then it was her father when he came enough to his senses to realise that Miyako was his heir. The young female was quick to realise that there was no way she could meet any of their expectations, having the gender she had and not possessing the talent needed. It wasn't that she didn't want to, she just couldn't reach the potential that her parents envisioned for her and that alone brought a lot of stress.
The stress and the burden became too much and with the war forever ongoing, with Miyako entering puberty, she just snapped. She entered rebellion, rejecting her life, rejecting her fate, deciding that she was going to do whatever she wanted. This turned her into a stern and bitter person for a while who lived to snarl off her family members. However, when an ambush went wrong and numerous casualties fell, under which her mother and her teammates Miyako froze. There was already so much sadness and bitterness in the world, why add into it?
So, once more Miyako rebelled. This time against the world. She wiped away her tears, hid away her anger, but always rejected her fate. Miyako wanted the world back to the days where she smiled, where innocence was in place instead of the decay it had replaced.
